I am an international speaker, best-selling author, and well-being and mindset coach who is committed to helping women thrive on their own terms. A student and teacher of Ayurveda, one of the world’s oldest whole-body healing systems, I enjoy sharing Ayurvedic knowledge and wisdom with new generations and audiences, helping people blend these techniques with what they already know works well for their own spirit, mind, and body. Born in India, I spent my formative years between the Indian Himalayas, North Africa, and the United States learning from different cultures and collecting stories of the power of human connection.
A firm believer in the idea that health is not something that can be bought or sold, I am passionate about transforming the global health and wellness industry by reminding women to trust themselves. In addition to writing about and teaching a more holistic approach to health and nutrition, I have dedicated my career to advising leaders and creative professionals on how to design work lives that truly work for them. Health, both physical and emotional, is deeply personal and directly impacts our mindset, creativity, and productivity… all of which impacts our financial well-being. Without a baseline of physical and emotional health and confidence in our own resilience, we can quickly lose focus, not to mention our sense of purpose and joy. And joy, of course, is what helps us create lives with meaning.
As a winner of “Voices of the Year” award (past recipients have been Chelsea Clinton), I lead talks and workshops to help individuals and teams improve personal and professional relationships, design more intentional and rewarding careers, use time more productively, respond more skillfully to inevitable stress, and increase ease and overall well-being. As a speaker, I am a storyteller and teacher who is comfortable sharing my own vulnerability and humor alongside my expertise. As a result of my workshops, and coaching sessions, my clients experience more clarity, fulfillment, and creativity, improved performance, and genuine peace.
Featured by Asian Fusion as “one of the most influential Asians of our time,” I am a trusted source on health and wellness, most recently appearing on NBC and Radio Lifeforce. A five-times Pushcart Prize nominee, I am an award-winning author of 12 books, most recently Louisiana Catch. My work has appeared in The New York Times and other publications across nine countries on three continents. I am a trained yogi, on the board of Fly Female Founders, and hold a Master’s in Strategic Communications from Columbia University. I live in New York City with my husband and work with clients across the globe.
